Improving Parking & Sidewalk Spaces
Hawaiian Dredging continues to work their way down Waihona Street with Phase 1 of the project. As of today, they are below Waihona Place, allowing on-street parking for all the residents, customers and businesses above Waihona Place.
In an effort to maximize available on-street parking, Hansen Distribution Group has been staging their containers further down the road to allow closer parking for affected businesses. We appreciate their kōkua with the logistics! Lastly, Hawaiian Dredging, in conjunction with NAVFAC Hawaii and the City and County of Honolulu, coordinated the clearing of overgrown and impassible sidewalks to allow for safe, pedestrian access. In the photos below, the left side represents the "before" shots and the right side is the "after" in approximately the same spot. The change is significant, and we hope it helps makes the parking situation a bit more manageable for everyone As always, please contact us with any questions or concerns.
