Project Update
HDCC continues to adapt to the short and long-term effects of COVID-19 on construction. Project schedules are being continually adjusted to accommodate available materials in order to maintain the project's scheduled deadline. Here are some of the current activities happening along the project route: Waihona Street - Work along Waihona Street continues in the vicinity of Tokunaga Masonry moving toward the Kamehameha Highway intersection. The scope of work is similar to activities done previously along the street. Kamehameha Hwy - Work between the intersections of Waihona Street and Kuala Street along Kamehameha Highway will continue into July. Once completed, road plates will be left at the two ends of the project to allow for future waterline testing. UH Urban Garden - Test piling has been completed and analysis of the area is continuing. All test results will be reviewed to determine the best method for constructing the waterline in this area. 2nd Street - Unforeseen site conditions along 2nd Street will require additional actions. HDCC will continue working along 2nd Street from 6/17 through 6/24. Impact in the area will be the same previous work. We thank you for your continuing patience during this project and please contact us with any questions.
